INSTRUCTIONS:
Setup: Using your preferred method, cast on 70 stitches. Join to knit in the round.
Round 1: *K1 TBL, P1. Repeat from * to end. (70)
Round 2 to Round 8: Repeat Round 1. Work should measure approximately 2 inches from cast on edge.
Round 9: K around. (70)
Round 10: K around. (70)
Round 11: K1, *YO, P1, P3TOG, P1, YO, K2. Repeat from * to end. Last repeat will end with K1 instead of K2.
Round 12 to Round 14: K around. (70)
Repeat Round 11 to Round 14 until work measures approximately 6.5 inches. I stopped at Round 38.
Round 39: K1, *P1, P3TOG, P1, K2. Repeat from * to end. Last repeat will end with K1 instead of K2. (50)
Round 40: K around until one stitch remains. Do not knit last stitch.
If working on 2 circulars or magic loop method: Transfer the last stitch of each needle to the beginning of the next needle so the beginning and ending K1’s are sitting next to each other.
If working on 16-inch circulars: Switch to double points. Separate stitches as follows: 15, 10, 15, 10, with the unworked stitch from Round 40 in the first stitch position.
Round 41: *K2TOG, K3. Repeat from * to end. (40)
Round 42: K around. (40)
Round 43: *K2TOG, K2. Repeat from * to end. (30)
Round 44: K around. (30)
Round 45: *K2TOG, K1. Repeat from * to end. (20)
Round 46: K around. (20)
Round 47: *K2TOG. Repeat from * to end. (10)
Cut the yarn and weave the tail through the remaining 10 stitches to secure them. Weave in all ends.
